Terms of Service
Terms and conditions governing the use of our website and services.
Last Updated: July 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Crime Scene Cleanup California website at www.crimescenecleanupcalifornia.us (the "Site") and any services provided by Crime Scene Cleanup California ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Use of Website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law
- Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Site
- Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without written permission
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Site without our express written consent
- Transmit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through our contact forms or services
Service Agreement
These website Terms of Service are separate from any service agreement executed between you and Crime Scene Cleanup California for cleanup work. Specific terms for cleanup services — including scope of work, pricing, timelines, and obligations — are defined in a separate written service agreement provided after an on-site assessment.
No binding service agreement is created through website inquiries, phone calls, or email communications alone. Service begins only after a written agreement is signed by both parties and the scene has been officially released by the appropriate authority.
Estimates and Pricing
Any price ranges, cost information, or estimates discussed on this website, by phone, or by email are preliminary and provided for general guidance only. Final pricing is determined after an on-site assessment and is documented in a written estimate. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the actual scope of contamination differs significantly from initial descriptions.
Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in the individual service agreement for each job. In general:
- We accept major credit cards, checks, and electronic payment
- For insurance-covered work, we coordinate directly with your insurance provider where possible
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise specified in the service agreement
- Outstanding balances may be subject to late fees as specified in the service agreement
Cancellation and Scheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed service appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation policies, if applicable, are outlined in the individual service agreement. We understand that circumstances can change quickly in these situations and will work with you to accommodate scheduling needs when possible.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by California law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or our services
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid for services, if any
- We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to law enforcement holds, weather events, or public health emergencies
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crime Scene Cleanup California, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, graphics, and software — is owned by Crime Scene Cleanup California or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or trade dress without prior written consent.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California.
Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute with us through good-faith negotiation. If informal resolution is unsuccessful within 30 days, either party may pursue legal remedies in the courts specified under the Governing Law section above.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
